As the pandemic strike and the change of climate nowadays lots of Pilipino farmers are worried about their farms. As I watched the news the other day, lots of people Pilipino farmers’ life stories can touch your heart for their hard work. Yes, one of the not-the-easy jobs is being a farmer? heard the struggles of the Filipino Farmers nowadays… These farmers are the main reason why we have fresh fruits, vegetables, and unlimited rice but most of them are less fortunate, they are farming not on their owned lands and have been in debts for capital for the seedling. Because of so much poverty they experienced, they didn’t even finish their studies. Some of the workers stop their education after High school and some of them are just in Grade 6. Even in their lack of education due to financial problems at the same time they have so many siblings, they need to help their parents and grandparents for the needs of the family. They need to strive so much in order to live. It’s not really an easy life they experienced before. Sometimes they only eat sweet potatoes for the whole day because there is still no harvest. What’s harder for them is when their field encounters a typhoon or pests, all their investment will be lost. without these hard-working farmers, we don’t have what we are right now. No matter how hard it is for them to mill rice using this wooden mortar, you persevere for us to have something to eat.  They always encourage us to study harder in order for us not to experience the same poverty they experienced before. I can say because of these rice mills, we live. We should really appreciate all the farmers in the world for without them we do have not enough food to eat. We know that rice is one of the basic needs of every individual.

I salute all the farmers for all their hard work just to give the needs of every family.
